My name is Hugh J. Fitzpatrick, III and I am the founding partner of Fitzpatrick & Associates, P.C., a Tewksbury based law firm specializing in real estate, estate planning and small business formation.

Born and raised in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, I am a graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School (class of 1989) and the University of Massachusetts at Lowell with a degree in English Literature and a minor in Philosophy (1994). While at UMass, I was also a four year starter on the Universities' wrestling team.

After college, I took a job as a heavy equipment operator for L.J. DiPalma Construction Company located in Tewksbury. After working there for three years, I decided to enroll in law school at Massachusetts School of Law located in Andover, Massachusetts.

While in my first year of law school at Massachusetts School of Law, I earned a position at Nicosia and Associates, P.C., Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, as a law clerk. While a Nicosia, I was trained in the areas of litigation, real estate, estate planning and business associates. In my second year of school, I earned a position as a clerk working for the Honorable Judge Melhan, at Lowell District Court, while working a Nicosia and attending full school full time. After passing the bar examination, I was hired by Nicosia and Associates as an associate.

In the beginning of 2002, I left Nicosia and Associates to open my own in office in Tewksbury. During the first years of practice, my primary concentration was in real estate law, mostly representing buyers, sellers and banks/mortgage companies for residential real estate transactions. After some time, my practice has expanded into estate planning, wills, trusts and starting new businesses for my clients.

Understanding the growing demands of my clients and the clients within our community, my practice is now expanding into the asset protection area, primarily representing seniors in the protection of their estates in addition to the previously mentioned practice areas.

I am a member of the Massachusetts Bar (admitted in 2001), National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, former member of the Conservation Commission and the Tewksbury Rotary. During my free time, I enjoy playing golf, riding my motorcycle, spending time with my wife Cherisse and my dog Calvin. Also, I am writer and contribute articles to the Senior Times publication.
