These responsibilities included property acquisition, development and leasing in the property division and oversight of the worker's compensation, property insurance, customer relations and employee complaints for the legal division. As a senior advocate, Mr. Congdon works with seniors referred through the AARP Legal Services Network on a variety of issues. Since unmarried same sex couples do not have the protection afforded to married couples as a result of Goodridge vs. DPH, care must be afforded the couple to plan accordingly for the anticipated events which might confront the couple at home or in another jurisdiction.

As a real estate broker with an interest in real estate law, Mr. Congdon provides clients guidance in purchasing and selling real estate and handles the various legal documents associated with real estate transfers and attends closings on behalf of the client.

Due to the growing financial needs of seniors, Mr. Congdon and his partner started Reverse Mortgage Advisors, LLC to assist seniors over the age of 62 utilize the equity in their homes to pay for medical expenses, outstanding mortgages, living expenses and home improvements. The federally licensed operation provides free consultation to seniors and their families about the benefits of reverse mortgages. As an attorney owned and operated reverse mortgage company, customers benefit from a legal perspective review of their entire financial situation to ascertain whether a reverse mortgage is best suited for them.

Jerry S. Congdon graduated from Juniata College with a degree in psychology. After earning his master's degree from The Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Congdon worked as a family therapist and opened a series of psychiatric day treatment centers in Pennsylvania under the Federal Community Mental Health Act.
